The Ergi Press Zine | ISSUE 1
Delve into the inaugural Ergi Press zine for the best of alternative fiction, zine culture and candid queer expression - work sourced from creatives living in disperate corners of the world.
Issue 1 unites 12 queer voices and bold artwork for an exciting, transgressive and tender collection that reveals queer creativity as a medium through which we can gather and unpick our identities, understanding how we relate to the people in our lives and, indeed, ourselves. Leaping between the visceral delight of sex, calls for empowerment and self-preservation as well as unflinching reflections on change and transition, there's a lot to chew on. Featuring a review of Lily Monarch's dynamic documentary 'Processing' and arresting artwork by Emily Greenman, you're in for a treat. Contributors: Declan Shields, Kate McCaughey, Imogen Davies, Emily Wood, Ciara Maguire, Indee Watson, Lily Monarch, Rachel Cremin, Rachael Williams, Steph Amir, Dale Booton, Charley Lane McElroy. |
The Ergi Press Zine | ISSUE 2
In Autumn 2022, Ergi returned with an eclectic menu of poetry, microfiction and art by 12 up-and-coming queer creators from across the globe. The pieces are formally playful and subversive with notes of wonder, thoughtful meditations on the queer body, bursts of fierce joy and the bitter aftertaste of relationships gone by.
An engagingly dynamic zine, by turns witty and serious, accessible and inventive, colourful and dark, reflecting the full spectrum of the LGBTQ+ experience. The cover artwork for this issue was lovingly created by Lauren McCaughey to encapsulate the quiet joys of the LGBTQ+ community and queer life. Contributors: Adaeze Onwuelo, Chidi Iheanacho, Clem Flowers, David Schweizer, Emma Woolerton, John Pendred, Julian Heidelberg, Kara Dunford, Paul Whelan, Peter Mitchell, Rat King, Siobhan Dunlop. |
